I recently observed a woman checking her wristwatch, and it got me thinking about time.

I’m contemplating how we spend it, how we invest it, how we waste it. Her watch represents a tool for measuring it. Whether in seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, or years…we are always concerned with time. We run our lives by it.

Time often motivates us to speed up or slow down…depending on if we are trying to get somewhere or cherish the moment. We universally, as a people, recognize time. However, the dangerous thing is that time does not recognize us. It moves forward at a steady pace, second after second, whether we want it to or not. There is no holding it back.

What we do matters every second of every day!
